My good, close personal friend H.G Wells penned some of the finest science fiction ever.

I will never forget the time he came dashing into my study, all excited, and said “Likely! I have a written a book about Martians invading the Earth! I have called it ‘Intergalactic Punch-Up’.”

“Would it not be better to entitle your tome ‘War of the Worlds?”, said I.

And the rest is future history.

I would have to day that my favourite Sci-fi Novels are Ian M. Banks Culture Novels (pretty much all of them)

I would also have to mention Peter Watts Blindsight (available for free at his site http://www.rifters.com)

First of off scifi – the lions lost me last year after some shoddy handling of their players. LOL

Now back to sci fi – Chris I read the first of the mars trilogy and didn’t really fall in love with it – I may go back and try again in a couple of years – Baxter is awesome actually – love the time ships.

Edward – I love starship troopers as equally as I love the movie (I don’t try and merge the two in my head lol)

Kyle – I’ve never read enders game but I’ve always heard good things – another one to look out for when I have a spare minute (pfft what’s a spare minute???????)
