While I would tend to agree with you, the big monkey wrench that you threw in here was the blog-the rules are so different for blogs and social media-a site that is not a blog will have a harder time than you have-trust me on that one.

Yes Matt it does look like you have pissed a few people off. Perhaps if you had titled you article something like “The concept of SEO isn’t That Hard to comprehend by people with slightly better than than average, but still requires a ton and a half of hard work in competitive markets” you would not have pissed anyone off. Then again…..

SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION… its such a big and scary phrase at first. If you really just do a few simple things, you can rank for some pretty basic and good keywords for your blog, in less than a few weeks.

You know what, it’s good to get that reassurance. I recently started my own blog site about SEO for beginners just like myself and there are so many aspects to consider. I do think that it is possible to achieve high rankings. The established pros make it seem soo easy. Then when I do more and more research I basically come across the same information, with a few new updates in the mix. I know this SEO is possible- it just seems to get people tensed up, I think

You make a good point there but it would have to be a very good and genuine comment for it to be left on my blog. I might let it slide if the comment was in some detail OR it was someone I knew pretty well off the blog other than that though I would delete it very quickly.
