Bill Collector in a Box

Bloggers are always looking for something to make what we do easier. Thus, the creation of plugins, ebooks, and feed readers. The same goes for the rest of the world no matter what profession they are in. Technology is everyday.

With that I present the Bill Collector In A Box Website. Bill Collector in a Box or BCIAB provides tools for small businesses to collect debts. This product can be an essential tool to help run any small business ranging from landlords, to dentists and doctors. If you are exchanging money this could help you out.

This software helps you keep track of customers to ensure payment. If they don’t? You can report them to Shared Check Authorization Network (SCAN) for a bad check. This will also help ensure that you get the payment that they owe.

Their recent newsletter has a lot of new information about why you should use them. The program has really taken off after being featured in the Wall Street Journal.

The cost for the software is 99$ and just has been picked up by Office Depot. Not only can you order it online from them, you can get it at the store. They are carrying it in 1300 different locations.

Since there has been such a huge launch there has been a lot of questions regarding the product. Some of the questions are answered in the newsletter, but they are taking more questions, just drop an email.

Pagerank Tip 5: Sell Your Blog

I compiled a list of 5 things you can do with your new pagerank. Some agreed and apparently, some are scared to sell links. A lot of bloggers are unhappy with the pagerank system as it has really become irrelevant. Some brand new blogs are getting 5’s, while long established blogs and websites have taken significant hits.

So what’s the point?

Blog for Sale

Instead of debating the paid link dilemma, Matt of Blogging Fingers has followed step five of my list and has decided to sell his blog.

I’ve talking to Matt on several occasions, it will be interesting what kind of project he embarks on next.

In the first month he monetized the blog, it earned 400$. Now with a brand new PR3, that total can definitely increase.

When selling a blog or a website, the rule of thumb is usually 10 months income. If that holds true here the blog is worth about 4,000$ ($3800). I think that can be a great investment for anyone who can take a 4,000$ hit. Within a few months, that cost can definitely be re-couped.

Persons of Interest

So far it isn’t clear exactly HOW Matt will be selling his blog, but Kumiko has already jumped on board and is looking to make an offer. After this post maybe Matt will let me in on the inside story.

Contest Ending Tonight

Our contest for 300$ cash and advertising ends tonight at Midnight PST. We’ve gotten a nice amount of entries (haven’t counted yet), I will be going through tomorrow.

I have noticed several entries not linking to our blog, or not mentioning our sponsor. You must follow the contest rules or your entry won’t count. I will be checking every link back to make sure it’s correct.

I want to thank everyone for entering and a big thanks to Bidvertiser for sponsoring

our contest. Check out their advertising promotion where new advertisers get 20$ in free clicks just for signing up.

5 Things You Can Do With Your New PageRank

The pagerank update has finally arrived, now what are you going to do? Here are five things that you can take advantage of, now that you have a PR.

1. ReviewMe and Text-Link-Ads: Most blogs can’t run these services without a pagerank. By using TLA, you may be able to pull in about 100$ per month!

2. Raise Your Prices: Currently charging 10-20$ for a review on your blog? Having a page rank on it, can alone, double that price in some cases.

3. Start Advertising: Hit the Digital Point Forum and sell some text links. Advertising on this blog is only 10$ per month. Sell 5 premium spots and you’ve got 50$ extra in your pocket

4. Offer Incentive: Use your pagerank for promotion on your blog. You can offer incentive in the form of links. Link back promotions (they link to you, you link to them) are old, but they can still work. Or like our comment friday, offer a free link per week, for comments.

5. Sell Your Blog: Whether you like it or not, pagerank = money. Now that you have pagerank on your blog, it is worth more than it was last week, whether its a 1 or a 4, the value increased. Cashquests reports that they just sold a PR4 domain with very little traffic or backlinks, for 65$. Without the PR, the domain is generally worthless (maybe the 9.95 it would cost to register).

Now that you’ve got that golden light, which is pagerank, which step are you going to take?

Two Free Tools For Downloading Video Clips

Written by Mark of MeAndMyDrum | Fave MAMD | Subscribe to MAMD

When you’re browsing the web, you may come across video clips that you may want to download. Not that I’m condoning pirating material, but there are times when it may be all right.

You could bookmark it, but what if the file is removed or the link becomes broken? The horror!

Here are two tools that could help you out.

ConvertTUBEIt’s called ConvertTUBE. Simply enter the URL of the video you want, and choose one of the six formats available: Windows (mpg), Mac (mov), Mobile (3gp), Flash (flv), Audio only (mp3), or iPod/PSP/iPhone (mp4).

Keepvid is another one. The difference with this one is that not only can you download online videos, but you can convert them at the same time.

The PageRank Update Arrives

Tons of popular bloggers lost pagerank, including us. It is kind of depressing, working so hard on your website, then basically being told you are doing it wrong, from the powers that be. I’ve waited so long for the update to give us a 5 or 6, now going backwards, it seems so far away.

The Rest Updates

For the rest of the blogosphere it was good news. Pagerank finally updated! Going from 0, to any pagerank is a huge boost. Many advertisers can discredit you for not having pagerank, especially through services like PayPerPost.

My Updates

I was happy to see all of my blogs updated.

Words of a Poet 0 to 2
It’s All Free Online 0 to 2
Blogging Addiction 0 to 2
Fantasy Football 0 to 3

The update for these blogs was pretty interesting, because Blogging Addiction and Fantasy Football previously had page ranks of 4, on their old blogspot domains.

Who else got a good update?

Now is the first chance to show off your new ranking!

Free Movies At Bmovies.com

Written by Mark of MeAndMyDrum | Fave MAMD | Subscribe to MAMD

Bmovies.comI found a site that will let you view classic movies from years ago. So if you’re looking for a horror flick during this Halloween, you’re sure to find one here. But that’s not the only genre of films.

Bmovies.com brings you classic movies from the following genres: sci-fi, horror, western, and kung fu.

These movies were a bit cheesy at times what with their exaggerated acting and poor special effects and costuming. But who cares? These things are fun! In fact, I find some of these possessing a certain charm in a weird sort of way because they just wanted to tell you a story unlike movies of today whose seemingly sole purpose is to gross you out at every turn.

What movies will you find here?
Kung fu fans will take delight in Bruce Lee: The Invincible and The Snake, The Tiger, and The Crane. Sci-fi geeks will find Metropolis and First Spaceship on Venus. Horror lovers: Attack of the Giant Leeches and Carnival of Souls. Western lovers? You got your Angel and Badman, and Daniel Boone, Trailer Blazer.

There are quite a few more, so browse the listings, pop the corn and enjoy. Best thing is that you don’t have to sign-up or login!

How To Find The Best Ad Placement On Your Blog

Written by Mark of MeAndMyDrum | Fave MAMD | Subscribe to MAMD

Crazy Egg Heat MapsWith Crazy Egg you can learn where your users are actually looking on your page. You can do this in one of two ways: heatmaps or confetti.

The image to the left is an example of a heatmap. Those light-colored spots are where people have clicked on my blog. Brighter spots translate to more user activity.

What is this good for?
Glad you asked. It can tell you:

  • The best place for your ads (and better placement means more money for you)
  • How your content encourages your readers to click deeper
  • Find out which layout simply works better

And even more informative is their confetti layout. This shows you the same activity on a page, but in the form of dots. When you click on each dot you get a high-level overview of the person who clicked on that spot. For example, you can learn what search term they used (if any), their operating system, their browser, window size, do they prefer boxers or briefs…(okay, just kidding about that one).

Additionally, you can find out the top 15 referrers to your blog, all conveniently color coded to show who came from where and what they clicked on when they arrived at your blog.

Did I mention this was free?
