Contest Winner – International Freebies For All

Congratulations to Mary from International Freebies For All for winning this review in the previous contest here on BAYB.

Do You Like Free Stuff?

Well, duh!

At some point in our blogging careers most of us come to understand the global nature of the internet. We interact daily (except for us slackers) with people from, quite literally, the four corners of the earth.

In a global blogosphere one must think globally and this is exactly what separates International Freebies For All from other freebie sites. International Freebies For All seeks out free offers available to folks outside of the
US and introduces them to their readers.

Not Just Freebies

Back in September International Freebies started including blog contests in the regular mix of posts with an entry into this contest. (That worked out pretty well!) So now, not only do you get regular updates on available freebies but you get to stay on top of the latest blog contests. I have to admit, she had some contests posted I had not been aware of and I’m a bit of a contest hound.

What Kind of Stuff?

I can only imagine how difficult it would be to keep coming up with free stuff available to a global market but International Freebies does it on a regular basis. By taking part in the available programs you can score yourself things like free books, catalogs, cds, product samples or, my personal favorite, a band t-shirt. (I registered for mine!)

With the addition of blog contests to the mix, you also have the ability to get yourself some free cash, mp3 players or maybe even a blog review!

What I Liked

When visited International Freebies for the first time I immediately liked the clean, well organized layout of the blog. The use of images in virtually every entry adds to the descriptions and allows the posts to be brief for an easier read. The site is monetized but the ads blend so well I hardly noticed them at first glance. (Not sure if this is good or bad.) The author obviously spends quite a bit of time searching out the freebies listed and posted frequently.

Things I Would Do Differently

The most striking problem with the site was something I noticed almost immediately, there is no RSS feed icon available. I would think it would be a necessity for a site like this. There is not an “About Me” page but, since International Freebies For All is more of an information site than a traditional blog, it’s probably not that crucial.

Summary

I found International Freebies For All to be an interesting blog with a wide variety of free items available as well as some very good blog contests to get in on. While, it is not a blog in the traditional sense, the information available is valuable and the site provides a true service to its readers.

I would encourage you to stop in and take a look around. I bet you will find something you wouldn’t mind having for free, I did.

Be sure to get yourself entered into the latest contest here at BAYB sponsored by Bidvertiser, ALinksBlog dot com and myself. Maybe you can win a great review like this, a feature on alinksblog.com or maybe you’ll just win some cash which, I guess, would be better than nothing.
