CSS Made Easy With CSS Mate

Written by Mark of MeAndMyDrum | Fave MAMD | Subscribe to MAMD

If you’re someone who doesn’t have time to learn cascading style sheets (CSS), then you may be interested in something called CSS Mate.

CSS Mate is a free online CSS editor that I just discovered. I was working on creating a new contact page on another blog of mine, Darn Good Reviews. I didn’t want to fiddle with the CSS, so that’s when I searched and found this editor.

Upon entering the properties in the forms, I could continuously see the results. When I was satisfied with what I had, I copied the code and pasted it into the page. Done!

P.S. I was creating that contact page to let everyone know I was accepting requests to be reviewed on that blog. Hint, hint.

Wow, what a great tool. I have already sent that to several of my friends.

Thanks for the heads up on that.

I’m thinking of switching from MT over to WordPress. Would this CS Mate make that process tolerable for someone like me who knows diddly about CSS? I know basic HTML and have used FrontPage, but that’s about it.

It’s not meant to assist in transitioning a blog from one platform to another, however, it will definitely help you in the way of modifying the look once you make the transition. 🙂

Thanks, Mark. I’m at a point in life where I wonder just how much time I want to invest in learning something new from the ground up. LOL Someone else did our site’s designs and we love them; we just have to decide whether the spam moderation is reason enough to make the leap. We have no quarrels with MT other than that. I’ve just heard WP is so much better.

Thank you for saying so. 🙂

That’s so true. Not a day goes by that I don’t find something online that makes something a little easier and definitely levels the playing field to a large degree. As for the spam thing: WP comes standard with a plugin called Akismet. Very good at what it does. I highly recommend it.
