So what sort of traffic levels can it generate? If it takes a while to set the page up is it worth the effort? There’s nothing more frustrating than spend hours on something and having nothing in return.

I couldn’t agree more. And since Google is in love with Squidoo (at least at the moment) you get both backlinks to your own blog and traffic to the Squidoo lens almost immediately.
On my blog (about Squidoo) you can see an example of a lens I built and 1 and a half day later I started to get traffic to the lens.

Squidoo is a great platform to get traffic from, so is Facebook, YouTube, Twitter (easy micro-blogging platform) and all the other web 2.0 platforms.

I’ve known about Squidoo for a while, but never really got into it, though I did create an account a long time ago. It appears that it’s gained a lot of traction with a lot of people. I’m thinking I’ll be giving this a closer look. Thanks for the reminder, buddy!
