		<description>I use trends a lot and find it effective, thought it&#039;s probably best if you can anticipate a trend.  I&#039;ve done this with celebrities who aren&#039;t as yet big time.

Also with following Google Trends I&#039;ve found that traffic often arrives a couple of days after they have been shown in their Top 100.

It&#039;s an interesting subject.  As for Sarah Palin - a heartbeat away from being President - now that&#039;s scary!

		<description>Sarah Palin is a great topic at the moment, so I&#039;d say go for it...
If you are not running a political blog you may go off topic but not too much harm in that as long as you provide a reason as to why you are posting off topic. With elections that can prove harmful/helpful to the rest of the world, which the US does, posting your opinions on a political topic can only help spread the non reported main media streams opinions.
