It just sounds like a shady practice they are using to save some money. Perhaps they are worried about members setting up fake networks of referrals to get paid twice on the same sale. As for not paying members, that is even more brutal. I probably won’t ever try ShoppingAds now. Thanks for the heads up.

I’ve had poor experiences with all of Patrick Gavin and MediaWhiz’s programs including Shopping Ads, Text-Link-Ads and Auction Ads. My bad experiences come from both being a publisher and an advertiser. Consider yourself fortunate they actually paid you and you could reach a human being to communicate with. I didn’t have as good of luck when Text-Link-Ads kept charging my credit card for over three months after I cancelled my purchases even though the links were removed from the sites they were on!!! They even went so far as to try and fight the chargeback (which I won)… Pretty shady.

There are different kinds for different locations. If you want an under-the-cabinet microwave, you need specific models for this. However, if you just want to place a microwave on your counter top.
