Logical Media’s Terrible Payment System

Logical Media Affiliate Network

I’ve raved about Logical Media in several reviews. Not only on this site, but I’ve guest blogged about it as well. Enough to get about 50 referrals in total. And because I earn 5% of every referral, I will continue to promote them! The support is good, the offers are decent…

However, lately I’ve been having a problem with their payments.

Logical Media Payments

With so many different networks, affiliate support is huge. Market Leverage actually uses Fed-Ex to send checks, regardless of the amount.

The only option Logical Media has for payments is checks. That can be fine, but the problem I have is it takes forever! Okay not forever, but from the date that it is posted to my account, it generally takes over two weeks to get in the mail. The minimum check is $100, so it’s not like it’s a small amount.

Also it isn’t Logical Media’s fault for this one, but I always receive it on Saturday as well! That just adds to the irritation.

I did inquire about a direct deposit option and was told I need to make around $1,000 per month. For most of us that simply isn’t very realistic. My affiliate manager tried to even lower it a bit for me, but I’m not even close to making that much per month.

Months Behind

Another issue is the fact that they are very behind in the payments. Most of the networks I belong to pay out for the previous months earnings on the following months 15th. So for Septembers earnings, I would get it on October 15th.

With Logical Media, just a few days ago I received JULY’s payment! Basically I had to wait 4 months to get July’s payment! If it keeps getting pushed back like that, they could get almost 6 months behind, which in my opinion that isn’t acceptable.

Do you have any problems with your affiliate networks?

I haven’t had any issues like the ones you are describing. I haven’t met the payment threshold yet for LogicalMedia, but it is coming up this month.

I will see what happens with my payment.

Personally, I love Logical Media. But you are correct, there does seem to be a major lag in payments. So far I’ve received two checks from them though, and I think part of the reason for the delay is that they are based in Canada and there could be a bit of lag in the mail delivery coming over the border. Of course, this would only really affect the time from the mailing until it reaches us. But yeah, it would be wonderful if they had a different payment method, like PayPal or something.

I feel ashamed to say I haven’t even heard of logical media, so I can’t really relate to the situation you are in.

However, there are always going to be some issues with each company you choose, so at least you are getting paid!

Folks, I know lots of you work with Logic Media … so there’s an attachment there … just try to take a step back and think about it logically — if a company were slow in paying their contractors or employees, what would that indicate to you?

Let’s put it another way — if you’re on a boat, and you see water at your feet, what does that indicate?

In both cases, it indicates a sinking!

I would, uh, do what the Chinese are doing with U.S. Treasuries — don’t panic, but slowly divest yourself of that investment before it sinks on you.

Seriously, I would start moving towards other affiliate marketing companies while the getting is good.

I’m not accusing Logic Media of anything — I don’t know them from Adam. And I’m not here to promote anyone else.

I’m just sayin’ — the indications are not good. If a company is late making their payments, that’s a bad sign.

I mean, if we’ve learned anything from the Madoff’s and other Ponzi schemers — if something is too good to be true, then it probably is false. If Logic Media has such a great program, but they can’t make timely payments … uh, you do the math.
