Comment Friday for May 4th
Comment Friday is a fun and simple idea. Leave us a comment about anything you want. By leaving a comment, you will have your blog visited by me, and you may even get a link out of it. I will select a blog from the comment list to have a small post written and featured as our comment friday winner.
We have many of the same commentors participating weekly, we are getting some great and fun discussions. Not only am I visiting blogs, but other people are checking you out as well.
Last week we had 40 comments, and this week I know we can get 50!
Last Fridays blog of the week was Windy’s Food Corner. She started Comment Friday off early with a great topic. She even offered to make me Lemon Chicken! hah.
This Friday, the blog of the week could be yours!
If you’re interested in hosting a comment friday, just make sure to link back to us, or this post giving us credit. Then you can be added here, linking to your comment friday. Currently Love All Books is hosting their own Comment Friday.

YAY!!! I remembered this week! 🙂
I don’t have any good topic ideas. Alas, my brain is on overload again.
I did want to give a tip to everyone though. I participated in my very first Thursday Thirteen meme yesterday and I was amazed at all the new traffic it brought in! I don’t know if they’ll stick around and become regular readers of my blog but the traffic and comment boost was really very cool. Everyone should give this a try at least once.
Have a great weekend fellow bloggers!

Thursday Thirteen? I admit I haven’t checked your blog for yesterday and later yet, but I will.
Thanks for the tip and keep up the good work.
Love All Books has put up its own Comment Friday Post already and linked here, so check it out!
Oh, yeah, when I’m entering comments here using FF2.0, and if I’m using the Text Size->Normal setting, I cannot see all of my comments. I have to use the next smaller font size in order for what I’m typing to wrap at the end of the line.
Sounds like some CSS tweak needs some work.

Techsplorer, what a great idea. I might have to add this to my blog. It might be interesting to see who actually speaks up!

This is a great idea.
What comes to mind is to remind bloggers who participate in the recent “trains” we’ve been seeing (Technorati, Feed subscription, and StumbleUpon…more?) that if they decide to post their own train to remember to actually take action of what the end goal is. In other words, if it’s about subscribing to feeds, remember to do that for the ones you find interesting. It wasn’t until a few days after I posted mine that I remembered myself. Doh!

It’s fun to see all the different meme’s out there. I got in the Technorati Favorite game and now on the Feed Link Train to increase subscribers. If you guys haven’t checked it out yet, give it a shot!

Have an awesome week!

But is this Friday calculated by the time of UK? If you wanna be international, this Friday would last about 48 hours, i guess.

Hope I still made it in time, technically isn’t Friday anymore at my place so :P. Has been quite hectic today, or actually the entire week already studying hard for an exam which I had to do today.
Good luck on trying to go for the 50 comments btw! I think last week by this time it was ahead on the current amount already but a lot can change still of course :).
And ryan, nope I won’t be going PostieCon, Las Vegas is a bit far for me ;). About 7000km, haha, if it ain’t more.

Along with many many others out there, I am curious to find out the correct formula to increasing traffic to your site. Is running a train like the John Chows of the world the way to do it? Well hope everyone had a great week, and enjoy your next week.

Ok, so it’s technically not Friday anymore but I’m commenting anyway. I forgot about Thursday Thirteen- and yes it brings in traffic but you’ll only get a handful of people who come back to read posts other than TT’s. As for all of the traffic/feed/Technorati trains going around? Sure, I have a few more who favorited me, I have a few more feed readers but it really hasn’t brought in an overload of traffic. I actually got more when I wrote the post about the oh so infamous John Chow. Someone even submitted the post page to StumbleUpon- not sure why they picked it but it brought in about 200 visitors. I’m thinking of doing something along the lines of the dude who’s doing the “world’s smartest man” thing- to see if he can get to number one on Google for that search phrase- I’m thinking, “world’s most eligible single redneck chick.” Think it’ll work?

Not sure that this is exactly the right place to ponder this question, but I’ve been wondering how to best promote a blog site that’s more personal than focused. Given that the topics we blog about sorta run the gamut, submitting to directory sites & such can be a bit tricky. I never know what category is the best fit unless there’s just a generic “Personal” option.
2Dolphins is not a profit-generating venture, but just the same, I’d like to boost traffic a bit. What’s the point in blogging if nobody is reading, right?

[…] The topic for this week seemed to revolve around age, after Zura from Creative Clown posted “Am I getting old, or the weeks going by faster and faster?” Most agreed as it seems we are all getting older, fast. I am counting down to my 21st birthday which is now only 9 days away. Not only that, but it seems like yesterday I posted last weeks comment friday. […]
