Quit Your Day Job sells out…

Well kinda.

It’s a big day for me. I’ve spent the last week working out the direction I want to go in with a number of my blogs and I’m slowly returning to posting again. Crypt Hunter has an all new look, I’m about to start writing an article and an essay regarding the gender roles portrayed in X-Men the movie for university and for Pop Culture Heroines. I’m about to wander off and read up about how to grow pineapples from cuttings for Urban Cultivation and finally I’ve sold my soul to the devil for a little bit of return on Quit Your Day Job.

I exaggerate. It really isn’t as bad as I thought it would be but I’m now doing sponsored posts on Quit Your Day Job. The thing is what I really hate about most sponsored posts is the artificial feeling about them. These people have no interest in what they are writing about and more often than not the post doesn’t even fit in with the theme around the blog.

Well not QTDJ.

I’m only going to write about things that I’m actually interested in, things that there is every chance I would’ve written about them in the first place. And I’m going to write about them the way I would write it. Granted you often have to include certain links and keywords but that’s fine as long as I’m not writing something I don’t agree with. The word positive can be taken a thousand different ways.

I’m also suggesting that anyone can email me in regards to these posts and tell me that I ballsed it up – that way I can make sure I don’t do it again! Take a look at the post here.

So it only took me six days away from the blogosphere to get recharged and I’ve got a pretty long list of ideas that I want to get out there and I just wanted to thank everyone who commented and sent me emails of support – I really appreciate it and as I said over at QYDJ I left with an image so I may as well return with one that cracks me up:
