Holiday Tactics

Click to go to Mike's Money Making MissionHaving just returned from a two week holiday in the sunshine it’s nice to get back to blogging again – I think!

Actually I was concerned about leaving my blog for a couple of weeks without any posts or input from myself. I wondered if I would have any visitors left when I returned. Though there was a dip, I guess regular readers knew I was away, it seems to be returning to normal again now – well almost.

So what do you do when you go on holiday?

Do you get someone to look after things and guest writers? Or do you simply go off and enjoy the sun, sea and whatever the third ‘s’ is?

Before I left I did an extra long post Lots Of Ways On How To Make Money (that included a link to a nude photo of Madonna!) This brought in search engine referrals which helped with visitor numbers while I was basking in the sunshine.

What are your holiday tactics?

Good luck,
Mike.

Definitely let the readers know, but some time-stamped posts that appear automatically over the holiday are also worthwhile, so people don’t forget you!

Thanks for the comments Chris & Rhys.

Time stamped posts – that sounds interesting, must investigate as I wasn’t aware that it was possible to do this.

As for blogging on holiday, Rhys, my life wouldn’t be worth living!

I left it in the capable hands of another blogger who was kind enough to mind the shop for a little while.
