Comment Friday for June 1st

Trying to get back on track with our Comment Friday, I am aiming for 25 comments!

If this is your first comment friday, it is a fun and simple idea. Just leave us a comment about anything you want, and we can get our own little discussion going.

Each week we will chose one lucky commenter to be featured as our Blog of the Week and that blogger will get a link to their blog, and a spot on our blog roll for the week.

If you are hosting your own comment friday let us know.

I’m about to leave the office to go enjoy a friends band playing at the horse races. They have a nice little setup to play in between races and it should be a good time listening to some nice music out in the sun with friends.

Since there was recently a music/song inspired comment Friday, I will put a little twist. If you were in a band, would you want to be the singer, guitarist, drummer, etc and why?

FWIW, my friend plays bass and does some signing.

The hot weather is a perfect excuse to run the A/C, sit at your computer, and BLOG. If you don’t have A/C. . . sorry. 🙁

Derek I will be the guitarist since that means I can wear cute Hello Kitty guitar. yeah I know it’s lame but I will enjoy it. It’s a pity I can only strum basic guitar chords.

It’s 78 here in Michigan.. although a little bit of rain this afternoon made it feel coooler than that. TGIF.

Derek, you should come hang with me. I write about a rock band and the people who orbit them. You’d dig it.

I’d love to give someone some spring weather; it feels like August here (complete with late afternoon pop-up thunderstorms).

It’s just coming into winter here in Australia and the weather has been unusually warm. I’d talk temps but I have no idea how to convert from Celsius. Even though all the weather is messed up we don’t have any environmental problems *wink*

Seems fitting to comment about “comments” on Comment Friday. I’ve been striving to leave my blog posts more open-ended or with a question, yet I’m not getting any comments. Site trafffic is slowly but steadily increasing so I’d assume that my posts are seeing the light of day, so do I interpet the lack of comments to mean that my blog entries simply aren’t stimulating or thought-provoking?

Or are my posts coming across as too opinionated tone and maybe that tone is putting readers off? I’d sure welcome some frank feedback – I can take honest criticism even if it’s a little harsh…

Oh sure, I spend a lot of the morning coming here, trying to be the first CF commenter for a change, and as soon as I get pulled away for the day you go ahead and post your CF.

Ah well. My CF has been up since early this morning.

      Have a great weekend, everyone.

(And only 18 comments before me? What’s up with that?!!)

WOW! It’s very nice and fun idea and yes, I am one of those new readers here (subscribed to feed via email) and this is very first Comment Friday to me! Woo-hooo!
Ummm… about what I would like to discuss? Maybe… how about social networks? They are so popular lately. Are they really good for everyone? I mean, are they good to promote all kind of stuff, like blogs, products, programs etc etc? And maybe someone knows good tips? I joined APSense lately and that place is interesting for me – all new, new people, groups, contacts. I am already a member of MySpace but to say truth I have no idea how MySpace han help me earn revenue form blogs or anything, I use it just for fun really… So? 😉

100+ degrees where I am right now in Washington State, and thought I’d just recommend a product I bought ten days ago – a Pure Digital Flip Video camera. I reviewed the product when it first came out and liked it so much, I went out bought one — they are only $90 at Costco!

I don’t usually recommend products like this, but it has allowed my family (well, my wife) to record all those casual, candid moments that are usually stories I hear about after I get home from work — it’s light, takes great video and is extremely easy to use.

If you use any photo sharing or video sharing services right now, this is the perfect camera for you.

      For rodaniel-
I’m checking out your blog right now, and subscribed to your feed (although I did have to search for it all the way down at the bottom). You certainly have some interesting things to say (and have obviously been blogging for over three years now). I love your blogtipping idea & format (I just started a similar concept with “BlogNuts” – essentially reviews and recommendations for interesting blogs I run across), and that should certainly get some additional exposure for you amongst other bloggers.

More of the same – leave comments, join communities, participate in forums, profile other blogs, Stumble your site – have all worked for me in the short time I’ve been at it.
