Comment Friday for July 6th

It’s Friday already and here I am late again on Comment Friday. Last week I offered anyone who commented, that I would subscribe to their RSS FEED.

This week I am interested in knowing what you did on July 4th this year. I’ll tell you what I did in the comments. It was my 2 year old son’s first firework show!

I will also visit your blog and stumble it, so hopefully you will get some additional traffic! Free traffic for commenting! Can’t beat that.

Hope everyone had a great and happy 4th, let’s get to the comments!

I can’t seem to get Blogger to allow me to post right now, so my CF will be up later.

Since I’m the first one for a change (unless I take too long writing this), I’ll try a starting a theme for today: Besides BAYB, what is your favorite blog to visit frequently (your own blog excluded, of course!)

Dang! Hit Submit Comment too soon. That should read “try starting a theme” and, hey, how about if I play too: the blog I read several times a week is http://www.jmadigan.net/!

I guess a lot of folks have taken a looooooong weekend looking at the number of comments.

Besides the ones in my Blogroll, I like to visit random blogs from StumbleUpon/BlogCatalog every Friday. I have come across some cool ones that I have become a regular reader of.

If I were to name one, Kyle’s Cove has been a recent favorite of mine and Kyle is a very friendly person as well and a good feiend to have.

Man I must have read this post way too fast. I totally missed that you had already suggested a theme for the week!

I didn’t mean to step on your toes!

I guess I was so mad at Blogger I couldn’t see straight—yeah, that’s the ticket!

That’s straightened out now, though I’m still mad, and my CF is up!

I’ll stumble my commenters too, so come on down!

I must slow down: I never told you what I did on the 4th!

We cleaned up “the spare room” down the hall (AKA: the junk room; also AKA: soon to be my 6 y/o’s room!)

We saw the fireworks that evening here in town from a furniture store parking lot. The view wasn’t quite as great, but it was close enough to the launch site that we could see fairly well (though we had one nasty tree in the way because my son—with his very sensitive ears—didn’t want to get out of the car), yet far enough away that we beat most of the traffic out of there (translation: instead of taking an hour to drive the fifteen minute drive home, it took only ten minutes this year—I guess we were five minutes closer to home, as well!)

Okay. I think I’ve got it all right this time. I’ll stop replying to myself now! Honest!

I’m not from USA so July 4th was a regular day for me ^_^

I went work, left early to attend a graduation ceremony and then watched anime and played video games afterwards all evening

I spent the day trying to get a 12 hour nap haha. Of course my 3 kids had other plans. I think I managed to get a 45 minute nap.

As I stated above, watched movies. Shooters was very interesting and of course rented a few for the kids and myself again, ones we’d previously seen but loved. Went to the base festival where Danielle Peck performing and left. Finally we ended it by watching the fireworks before tucking the wee ones into bed.

Our 4th was spent hosting a nice little party with friends. We spent time enjoying some good food, good conversation and played various games out in the yard while consuming a few cold “pops”.

We enjoyed some of our own fireworks and then walked down a block to the park to enjoy the city firework show later that evening.

Another one from the UK here.

So my 4th July was obviously spent thinking about our lost colonies and past glories… or as I like to call it day dreaming at work.

This was our daughter’s first 4th of July, but I don’t think she really noted any difference than that of any other day. She smiled and rolled over as usual, and she thought I was the funniest guy ever. Her smile makes you think that whatever she thought was funny was not only funny, but just plain awesome and amazing. Definitely a great day!

We were invited over to our elderly neighbor’s house for ice cream cake and conversation. She had some good stories.

Wouldn’t have traded the day for anything.

My 2 year old was scared of the fireworks. We went on Wednesday. We are going again on the 13th, so maybe she will know not to be scared the next time.

It is funny because she wasn’t scared last year. She laughed at them. I was also at fireworks the night before she was born, so she had heard loud firework sounds in the belly.

my son is almost 2, it was the first time he saw fireworks. We went down to the san diego harbor area, thousands of people of course.

we wait about 30 minutes down there to get decent parking etc (10$ parking). We pick a spot and sit on the grass. Once the fireworks start he starts crying cuz he is scared.

We ended up watching them from the car, he felt safer in there lol. We got to leave right when they ended so I guess that is a plus.

We went to a family friend’s house for a fun day at the lake. Afterwards we went home and had burgers. Quite boring and typical I suppose, but it was fun.

I went on Holiday to my parents lake home. We spent the 4th with some neighbors, drinking margaritas, having a campfire, a boat parade, and lighting off fireworks. It was a lot of fun.
