Chain Chain Chain, Technorati Chain

That title is supposed to be sung to the tune of Aretha Franklin’s “Chain of Fools”. Okay, it’s nutty, I know. Anywho, I’m running a Technorati Favorites Chain on two of my blogs and everyone is invited to join in. I know things like this is being done all over the blogosphere, but there are two things to keep in mind. You can never have to much Technorati love and I will post the updated chain on the front page of my blogs every week. That means your blog link will be shown on two more blogs every week.
If you would like to put a link in the chain, go to That Says It All or Mike’s Money Making Rants & Raves and join in.

I totally got the Aretha Franklin reference. Awesome.

But those chains seem a little shady to me? Is that ethical?

I personally don’t participate in them and wouldn’t post them on this blog

I used to participate in it when I started out but I realize it could have a far reaching effect down the line in how search engines perceive your blog. But, if you don’t really care about search engines I guess it’s fun to do. I did find a lot of new friends through the Technorati train.

After reading some of the comments here I have decided to take my link chain off my sites, especially after “The effect link trains can have on your blog”. Thanks for all your comments.

Well, after writing my last comment on ending my chain, when I went to delete it I noticed some one had linked on. Now I feel obligated to keep it on in good faith. Oh well
