Comment Friday for November 2nd
Man it’s Friday! The end of a crazy month. Over the weekend I will have our stats and author prizes. Halloween was okay this year, but of course Matthew got sick the day before, after a while candy wasn’t enough to continue on the quest. Hope to get some pictures as well up over the weekend.
I love our comment friday, it gives me a chance to communicate more with our readers through our comment system. Each friday we give a lucky person who comments a free link on our blog. This last week our lucky person was Sweet Mummy. She didn’t get a shout out, but last week she left her first comment on our blog and sent me a contact. Want your free link? Get noticed, go above and beyond commenting.
I’ve been covering the sale of Blogging Fingers. No, it’s not over yet, I should have my last, final, follow up article about it soon. In the meantime I want to know if you would ever sell your blog? If so, what’s the right price? I could never imagine selling Blog about your Blog, because the offer couldn’t be right. However, selling any of my other blogs, would definitely be a strong possibility.

I won’t sell my blog as this is my first (and maybe the only) blog I have for my life time. But I can’t think of why people would be interested to have mine anyway.
Happy weekend! 😛

Hi there, sounds like you’ve had a very busy week. Halloween didn’t last long here either, most houses were no lights, which for us meant no one was home. ;( That’s okay kids prefer to pass out the candy. Congrats on the sell of the blog too.

I could contemplate working on a blog specifically for the purpose of selling it. But that is definitely not the case with my current blog.

I am not thinking about selling my freebies’ blog, but I have two other blogs I’d love to see taken care of by someone else who’d be interested in them. Those were my first experiment blogs. Maybe they are not even qualified as blogs? One thing is sure, they are worth nothing in adsense and SEO.
I’ve put it as a joke here that I want to sell my blog: http://www.blogofunny.blogspot.com
I understand if people are interested in blogs with good content (thus good potential) even if they are not perfect in terms of SEO standards. But something like Blogofunny, do you really think someone will consider buying it? 😀

I will not sell ShanKri-la because it will always be my personal outlet sharing things of interest. But, I am working on otehr projects which once they gain traction and if the price is right, you could have it. 🙂

Depends on which one was on the table. I now have 5 blogs, and each one of them is special in it’s own way.
There is only one of them that I would have to definately say no to, but that’s got my name attached to it. However, the rest of them could probably be had, but it would be very hard.
I was in shock when I read that you’d sold Blogging Fingers, but I also understand that you gotta do what’s you’ve gotta do.
Have a great day, Matt

What would someone want with the story of my life?? LOL…. Nope, I won’t sell it unless it be like a book deal or something like that. Woo Hoo, that would be nice, so book deal people your welcome to come on over.
Anyways…Congratulations are in order for Matt though. He is a cool guy and I always wish him the best. It was his intention to sell his site from the day he started it.
I am going to give a blatant ad here to because my last contest only had 4 entries. I am giving away $10 for just guessing my income, so go enter… $10 for a comment. How can that be bad??

I have my blog as part of my name, I’m gonna go out on a limb and say nobody would really want it. Of course, I am not even sure I’d sell the thing given that someone actually wants it. I do have a few other domains I wouldn’t mind parting with.

I suppose the only reason someone would want to buy my blog would be that they liked my writing, so I suppose of they wanted to pay me to stay behind and write, I could sell it.
Any offers? 😉

hmm i don’t think anyone would ever be interested in buying my rants hehe and if they did it would not really be my rants anymore so why buy it? I think if i had a real one like i have been thinking of i still could not sell it. It would be something i liked so i would hate to lose it.

I would NEVER sell my blog, it is my screen name and I just feel that it is part of me. Some of the others might go though, krispyblogs for sure, but the new sites I am starting all have the word “ryan” in them, so who knows!

I wouldn’t ever consider selling my blog. Well, at least not right now. I know it’s the only site I have up under the domain name at the moment, but I’m building up the main site to actually run my business. So, yeah, I guess if (someday far far in the future) I sold off the business, then, yeah, the blog would go with it. Until such time, no, not even kind of.

I could never sell mine either. But maybe one I buy next year and set up I could, but not one I’ve watched grow for many months/years.

I’ve been thinking about this lately, ever since you brought it up in a prior post here at BAYB. I would sell, because i have several projects in the works, and it would free up my time to work on those.
If the price was right, and if the buyer wanted to blow it up and make it successful and turn into something cool. Yes, i would love that and very much welcome it.
Missy.

I was thinking about this earlier in the week when you posted about that other blog fetching a pretty decent price. It’s something I’d never really thought about before (not that my blog would really fetch much anyway).
I don’t know that I would ever actively pursue a buyer for my blog, but if someone came along with an offer like that at some point, I would definitely think long and hard about it. In the end, I probably would take the big pay day.
Don’t get me wrong–I enjoy blogging and I love my blog, but I could just as easily move on to a different address, team up with someone else, or find another outlet for my thoughts. Perhaps in time, my views may change, but that’s where I stand now.
