Comment Friday for April 11th
It’s been a fast week, I’ve been keeping pretty busy. My weight loss is going great, from 215 to 197. I’m also starting a new gardening project that I’m very excited about.
If this is your first Comment Friday we give one lucky person a free weekly blogroll spot as our โblog of the weekโ. Along with that we are also giving that winner 200 entrecard credits.
This week I just want to know whats new with your blogging. Whether if it’s a new ad service your using, a new plugin your trying, or a whole new blog I want to know about it.
After you leave your comment head on over to Economtricks. They blog about a variety of topics, lots of internet, blogging and marketing related articles. Find out How to Get Noticed by Movers and Shakers, instead of writing a simple email that can just be deleted or never even seen.

I’ve just started exploring the possibility of having private ads on my blog, and doing some promotion. I am taking baby steps in that!

I’ve just done some work cleaning up my sidebars, in preparation for my book release. I figured out how to add Feed Flare to my posts and email feed. It’s all such a learning curve!

I’ve geotagged my site this week and am working on a blog post to explain all about geoblogging and give an example of the code needed to try this.
Also had to rename a couple of images (and update the associated posts) to thwart some hot-linkers. I’d sure like to know if there’s an easier way – a preventative rather than reactionary fix – to handle this problem. (Hot linking images is where someone uses one of the images hosted on your site in their blog post or webpage. This chews up your web hosting bandwidth and you get nothing from it.)

I am kind of excited about the Rubicon Project, I got in on the beta and it has served me well, there is a cute video on it that you can see, at http://foolsville.net/102/. Check it out made me chuckle a little.

Congratulations on the weight loss. I’m in the midst of such goals myself (again actually.) But it’s all worth it and seeing those numbers fall on the scale is motivation in itself.
Now if I could just get to that exercise, outdoor activity stuff that you speak of…
Happy Friday!April 11th, 2008 at 10:33 am -

I rolled out an all new blog about ten days ago and have slowly added content to it. I will replace the theme in a few weeks time when I add more pages and get additional traffic. You can find the blog by clicking on my name which will take you to Auto Trends. Thanks!

Hello, I just started my blog recently [which unfortunately you can tell when you visit it] but I am working on amending that daily ๐
It is a lighthearted look at the idiosyncrasies of the online world specific to Australia. Our geographical dilemma actually make things a bit different for us, although they may appear the same on the surface. For one, we pay 5 times as much as most do for internet access.
I find by visiting other longer established blogs such as this one, that are a zillion times better than mine, it helps me get an eye view for what I need to aim for.

Well, apparently I won last week and didn’t know. I don’t use EntreCard, so the 200 credits can be rolled over to this week’s winner if you’d like….
What’s new with me is great stats. I have dropped about 400,000 on Alexa’s 3-month ranking (my blog’s only been around for a month… I am around 180,000 for my 1-week average)… I have had my top 2 highest visitor amounts this week…. My RSS doubled in a week…. from 36 to 63… so that’s pretty exciting.

I’ve sold a multiple private ad spots on my site, for the first time. ๐I’ve passed the 50 RSS subscriber mark.
I’ve installed a new, custom designed theme ๐
I can’t think of anything else off the top of my head, but it’s been a busy week around Zero and Up!

I purchased a book on PHP from sitepoint.com and am trying to learn this language so I can (someday) create my own blog template.
There’s many things I like about the one I’m currently using, but also some things I would like to tweak, but I’m totally lost when I start reading those scripts. I know I shouldn’t be since I write SQL all day long, but that’s a horse of a different color for sure!

Hi! You have an absolutely fabulous site and I just wanted to take a moment and say thank you for being so helpful!
I just started blogging really about 2 weeks ago, and I am so utterly addicted already. I am an artist and writer, so what better way to let my passion flow out to everyone who comes to my blog?!
I have learned some essential HTML, and have found the neatest features to add to the site which enhance it and give it a hip look without being too busy while at the same time being able to relax you as you read. I have added music to my portfolio slideshow and have a really neat widget from mEgo.com where I have listed contest directions for a contest I started. I also added a voice comment feature which is really awesome!
So to say the least, Entrecard has been more than amazing, and I am grateful for every single person who takes the time to come and see me everyday. My email subscriptions are already soaring, and I can’t wait to see what happens next week. It just keeps getting better and better! Thanks everyone! And congratulations on your continued success with your weight goals! Bravo!

I just started with Entrecard this week. This is a new adventure for me. It’s introducing me to all sorts of new blogs, like yours. ๐

Thanks for the congrats on the weightloss. It’s been about a month+. I weighed 215 on Feb 25.
Way to go on all the RSS news, getting more subscribers always makes me smile.
Sorry Link, I noticed you didn’t use entrecard so I didn’t send you any points.
I thought Margaret’s comment was very interesting and I’ve chosen her as this weeks winner.
