i still use it in the sense of having an account and checking in every now and then — but i don’t have it badged on my blog. largely because of what you noticed: doesn’t seem to be much “juice” around mybloglog these days.

I still have an account there, but it’s been a long time since I’ve actually visited there, much less used it for what it was meant for.

I have seen MyBlogLog continuing to be used on many sites, and although its use doesn’t appear to be increasing or declining, another service could quickly come around and take over the market that MyBlogLog currently has. I am not sure what the new item would do, but it could make MyBlogLog look like it is missing a certain feature of interest.

I logged into my account the other day. It’s been months since my last visit. Anyhow, I really dislike the new interface. IHO, it was easier to navigate the site before the big change.

I am still signed up there, but don’t show the widget or anything like that. I guess it got lame when yahoo took over IMO.

I still use it and I still have the widget in the footer of my blog. Every now and then, I use the widget to throw some link love to the people that just recently visited my blog.

As far as their site itself, I check the stats there every now and then to see how my blogs are doing but I haven’t been doing much with joining communities or adding contacts.

I block the entire site in adblock. It’s annoying to wait for a page to when there’s so many external calls slowing down load times.

I still have it on my blog, but I very seldom use it either. I do check in every few weeks to see if I have messages or anything. I have been getting more targeted traffic from Facebook and Twitter though.

I’m a fairly new blogger (less than 1 month now), so I first signed up with MyBlogLog a few weeks ago. The only thing I really use it for is the stats feature (they track clickthroughs on my blog better than google analytics for some reason). But that’s it… I only made connection requests when I first signed up, and it’s hard to search through the site. I’m considering taking the recent visitor’s widget off my blog, since I make more connections from BlogCatalog.

I was using MyBlogLog this past year on one of my sites. However, I never saw any benefit to it, so I removed it about a month ago.

Can anyone name a benefit of using MyBlogLog?

I still have an account with them but I have noticed a waning interest over the past two years. I do use them for limited keyword or keyword phrase analysis. They provide the top 10 referrals for free or you can pay a flat fee of $25 per year or $3 per month for full-service analytics. But I’m not sure how many find it worthwhile to pay the fees.

I ran a MyBlogLog Sunday blog review feature for about 40 weeks. I made some good connections, but relative to the effort, apart from a few good guys like Matt, Money Making Mike and others who know who they are, I got a few comments, but very few link backs. Maybe I did a crap job.

I may try it again but focussing solely on humor blogs, rather than find the humor in blogs in general. I suppose until I give it the second chance I will hold back on saying it is yet another web 2.0 experiment that has had its day.

Google Friend Connect has become a tough new competitor to MyBlogLog. MyBlogLog has some useful analytics, but I’m not sure that is needed when Google Analytics is free.
