What Stat Counter Do You Use For Your blog?
A new feature I am introducing is a poll on the sidebar. This is just to gauge the BAYB readers to see what they think about whatever question I post.
I suggested which stat tracker to use. Our pick is Statcounter, I have it on all of my blogs. What was most popular on the poll?
Poll Results
Out of 22 votes, Statcounter ended up being most popular. 36% use Statcounter for their stat tracking.
Our second choice was Google Analytics, which tied for second with Sitemeter at 22%.
13.6% chose all of the above, while 4.5% chose other.
It was surprising to see that 0% used Awstats as their primary stat tracker.
New Poll
Do you own a blogspot blog?

For stat tracker, I use Google Analytics, but whatever works for you is the best. Although I can’t see a reason there is a web analytics service that is better than GA (and also available for free).
Woopra may be, for some features.

I use Google Analytics for stats, along with the Webalyzer stats that my host provides.
I do have a Blogger-based (a.k.a. “Blogspot”) blog, but it’s hosted on my own space with my own domain name. Only downside to this is that I’m stuck using a “Blogger Classic” template instead of the newer layouts that offer all the gadgets & gizmos.

Wow, I figured Analytics would rank first, but I guess not. That’s what I use as my main one and I keep a couple others for balancing purposes.

I haven’t used Statcounter in years. Back then, it was just a simple counter. It seems like it has now developed into an analytics tool. Thanks for the tip. I’ll check out Statcounter.

Thanks to your post, I just created an account at Statcounter. I love it. It isn’t quite as good as Google Analytics, but it’s a great alternative to Google, especially when you are tired of Google having access to all your information (gmail, analytics, web history, etc.). Thanks again.
