Comment Friday – April 27th

Comment friday is a fun and simple idea. Leave us a comment about anything you want. By leaving a comment, you will have your blog visited by me, and you may even get a link out of it. I will select a blog from the comment list to be linked to and have their link on our blogroll, until next friday.
We have many of the same commentors participating weekly, we are getting some great and fun discussions. Not only am I visiting blogs, but other people are checking you out as well.
Last week we achieved our goal and got 30 comments. I am pretty excited as to what we can do today comments wise.
Last week John Murphy won from Invest Journal with a great comment, about commenting. This week it could be anyone.

I used to do the Friday hangovers, but Saturdays are much better when you can sleep it off! 🙂
A RSS video has been making the rounds these days including my blog. By encouraing RSS subscription, are you shunning your regular readers to their feed readers?
Does everyone promote it like we do or do you just leave it like a use it if you want place in your blog?

That does have some logic to it Windy :P. Fridays indeed are the least productive days of the week when it comes to work, and heck, it’s better than having a hangover on your day off ;).
And nice idea to have a comment Friday :), good luck on achieving the 30 again! One extra from me already to speed up the process ;).

K, I do try to promote RSS from time to time because it makes it more convenient for people to visit you.
A lot of people may stop visiting blogs but fewer delete feeds even if they don’t read them Gives them a chance of seeing it in their reader, and thinking ‘whats that?’

Per the discussion of hangovers, I’ve always been lucky to not experience hangovers. Granted my drinking has slowed way down since college but I am always up and ready to go the next morning.

Hmmm, If you drink red wine add some cranberry juice to it, this makes the hangover less severe.More seriously don’t drink and blog, this could lead to silly comments on other peoples blogs and deletion of important stuff on your own. Not that i would ever do that:O

I have not had a Friday Hangover but I did have a Tuesday hangover once. It was Horrible! I had only about 4 hours of sleep and had to go to work as a waitress and that was back before the smoking ban so the cigarettes just made me sicker.

I agree with the RSS feeds thing. I keep 40 in my newsreader most of the time. Helps you to keep up to date with a lot of blogs.
I just took part in one of those increase your RSS subscriber contests and it boosted it by a little bit.

Re: hangovers – I generally feel hungover by 5pm on Friday, so adding alcohol doesn’t make much of a difference. :p
On another note, has anyone done an experiment with a comment train/exchange? This is a similar idea, but without the reciprocal factor.

None of the advertisers I contacted from over a month ago have even DECLINED OR APPROVED my offer. I did one deal through sponsored reviews and that was a review of their site, they do pay on time even.

Maybe we should start putting a theme up for the weekly comment day? What does everyone think or should it just be up to the first person to declare a topic!

A theme could be nice, but of course you could risk some people from joining in on the commenting then because they would have the feeling of not having enough experience in the subject. Not realizing that it would be open for anybody to speak the fear of saying something which might be seen as stupid holds them back.
And lol @ Crypt Hunter, every now and then I check back on that site and it is always a blast :P. The most ridiculous guides are placed there, lol.

I’ve thought about having a theme or topic per friday, but as mentioned, i dont want people to think they have to stay on that topic, or not participate because they dont care much for the topic
as it stands, most topics are introduced early in the discussion, and people can respond to that or not. Today hangovers, a few fridays ago, the inlaws lol
