Comment Friday for January 11th

We are getting back on track here at Blog about your Blog. Our articles have been doing great, hitting the front pages of sphinn and of course Blogging Zoom.

If this is your first Comment Friday we give one lucky person a free weekly blogroll spot as our “blog of the week“. Along with that we are also giving that winner 50 entrecard points.

Leave us a comment about anything you want. I’d love to hear how many bloggers ‘workout’ to stay in shape. I have responded two questions left by Comment Friday readers about what they’d like to see on our blog, let us know. Any questions you have.

totalwebreview-1.PNGWe have our first official Comment Friday sponsor. James from TotalWebReview is trying to promote their contest in which they are giving away 20 pages on One Buck Wiki. Three winners will each win 20 pages a piece.

Other prizes include advertising, blog reviews and 200 entrecard credits. The value comes out to be around 700$ in prizes!

To enter you can subscribe to Total Web Review by email, make a post on your blog, as well as commenting, voting etc on Total Web Review.

There is also advertising available for only 2$ per month, for a 125×125 banner ad. You may notice Blog about your Blog already has one 🙂

Great to see the Comment Fridays back and that too with a sponsor!

As far as workout, I have been limited in my physical activities since I severely sprained my ankle in September! I am dearly missing playing volleyball.

      Hi All,

I’m a blogger at blog.beYOU.tv and SoUrban.net. I workout a lot. Later today, I’m going to the gym to jump rope for 20 minutes then I’m lifting weight (today is arms and shoulder day).

I encourage people to start with a 3 or 4 day split. This means you workout 3 or 4 days per week doing a variety of exercises. For most people, 2 days of cardio and 2 days of weight training is good. Make sure your cardio workouts are at least 20 minutes long and your weight lifting should be about 40 minutes.

Also, if you can’t get to the gym beYOU.tv has free fitness videos that you can watch online.

Now you have an exercise plan and new workout material.

      Good Luck,

      Greg

I actually really enjoy working out. It is so hard to sit at the computer day after day, so it is nice to hit up the gym for an hour or two. I try and go 3-4 times a week.

I do pilates. I know it’s traditionally a “girly” exercise, but it was designed for boxers. It keeps me trim. I don’t want to be hugely muscular, but it keeps me looking okay.

I also play soccer once a week, and walk to (and when the summer comes in, from) work every day (which is a good 30 minutes)

I’ve been walking to work it’s 3.5 miles. What sucks is that I live in Seattle, Wa. Every morning it rains.

It’s no longer fun. I do it anyways though, I am trying to lose weight.

      I feel like a girl.

I workout. I need to get back into a groove, but it is the best way to tone up and STAY toned.

I am actually super slim and a little underweight for my height.

A part from my usually 20-30 push ups every other morning or so I don’t exercise, but i do a lot of walking around town.

I don’t workout…YET. My cousin just became a certified yoga instructor and is teaching yoga at a studio near my house. It’s a great incentive to sign up!

I think exercise is very important and that I have been neglecting it far too much the last year. I used to hit the gym very regularly, but right now it’s just a little basketball here, some biking there, or some carrying of furniture but not regularly enough.
Guess that happens when you move places.

I am in the military so it is mandatory that I do some type of physical exercise every weekday. I ran around 5 miles today and finished it up with a few sprints. I guess it is easy to find time when you have to get up and start at 6 am.

I did work out regularly, using the P90X system. I went to them gym just to check out the other hot bods… 😉

But over the last year I’ve struggled with sever Ulcerative Colitis. High doses of steroids and abdominal pain have kept me from my work outs.

I’m scheduled for a complete colectomy in the next 3 weeks. After that, recovery is 3 months, I’ll be back to my wash-board abbs….I hope anyways….lol.

      Is it FRIDAY already? WOW!

I have been on medical ‘hold’ for a while, so I haven’t been doing much. BUT I just started back to Curves this morning. I LOVE Curves and really enjoyed doing it before all the health issues. I’ll be going 3 days a week for a 30-minute workout each day. It feels great!

Does hiking out to the barns to feed the horses, sheep and chickens count? My workout includes wrestling 120# bales of hay, and sometimes taking on the challenges of going into the sheep pen, and dealing with a 350# ram who thinks “head butting” is a sport.

Once we thaw out here, my workout will be daily training (round penning) of a 2 year old filly. That’ll take the weight off.

I found this belly dancing show on FIT TV called Shimmy. It’s a low impact workout that’s really fun and sexy and it’s one of the first workout shows that I could actually handle as a beginner!
