We’ve Been Interviewed
I was approached and interviewd by the blog interviewer and now our interview has been posted. There are 10 questions about me and Blog about your Blog, so if you are interested in learning a little more about me and the history of this blog, go over and check out our interview.
If you are interested in being reviewed, you can submit an interview, just by answering the questions. I answered mine several days ago, so it didn’t take that long to get ours published. They seem to have a nice little community over there, so it can’t hurt for a little more exposure.
Win Cash!
By submitting an interview and getting published, you can win money. The interviews with the most ratings get $$. 1st place gets 25, 2nd gets 15, and 3rd gets 10$. Currently third place has 52 votes, so it will definitely take some time to get there, but why not get some cash?
While your reading our interview, make sure to vote for us. I’ll turn around and throw whatever money I get back into a contest.
Has anyone else been interviewed?
Blog about your Blog Belongs in the Top 5,000
I’ve seen many blogs recently break into the top 5,000 in technorati (some even the top 2,000). Meanwhile, we have been sitting inbetween 5-6,000 for sometime now. There is no reason we should be ranked that high. We need to break that top 5,000! Why not a contest to do that?
The prizes and contests will be simple. There will be a total of 3 winners, and 1st gets to chose their prize first etc.

Comment Friday Winner: SuperBloggingTips
This week’s topic was SEO. I was surprised at how many bloggers really shy away from it, when there is valuable and really easy traffic to be gained from search engines. Several of our posts rank for great keyterms, just by having a good title.
With so many people not really into SEO I was happy to see thought out long comments about those who are using SEO and how they are doing. So for this weeks winner I chose Tay from Superbloggingtips. She is trying to rank for the keyterm make money blogging by hosting a contest, giving away free advertising. The winner will get a 125×125 banner for a month.
Hosting a contest can be a great way to start ranking for certain keyterms that you want. Recently I did some great contest promotion that may be a valuable service for you if your not getting the results you want for your contest.
Have a great weekend!
UK Card Guide
Our next review is about a credit card comparison site named Card Guide. This again is mostly for our UK friends, but these type of sites are good nonetheless.
What credit card should you get?
A popular credit card choice (it would be popular with me) is one that is 0% credit cards for purchases. These cards offer 0% interest on any purchase you make. Sounds like the perfect credit card to me.
Another popular tyoe of credit card is a cash back credit card. If you normally pay your balance every month, you will get certain benefits. These benefits include earning up to 3% cash back. Unless you are spending loads of money on your credit card, I don’t see this one being too beneficial.
What I like most about a site like this is that each of the UK credit cards listed has a review. There you can see the pro’s and con’s of each card and if it’s right for you or not.
Do you use comparison websites before purchasing or choosing a specific plan or product?
Comment Friday for September 7th
Friday again so soon. It’s been a pretty full week with some great posts and discussions.
If this is your first comment friday, the idea is pretty simple. Leave us a comment about anything you want. I will select one lucky commentor that really stands out, and I will give a free link to them. Not only that, but they will get a one week free blogroll spot for a week.
Last week I chose Adtracker, and in turn they wrote a great review about us. As I understand it they are offering free reviews so why not get one? You can read the review of Blog about your Blog and see why you should get your blog reviewed.
This week I’d like to know what you think about SEO (search engine optimization). How do you implement it on your blog, or do you even bother? After my article SEO Isn’t That Hard sparked up a nice discussion on v7n forum (and apparently pissed of a few people) I’d like to know what you think about SEO.
Increasing Your Stumbleupon Network
With it apparently being stumbleupon week I figured I would give an insight on how you can increase your stumbleupon network. First I will tell you why this is important.
Why it is important to increase your stumbleupon network
By people adding you to their friends list, they are then subscribed to the pages you stumble. The pages you stumble are what they will see, when they are stumbling. If that makes sense. Then if they stumble your page, those people who are friends of theirs will see your page. By getting more people subscribed to your pages, the more powerful your stumbles are. Basically a person who has 100 friends has a more powerful stumble than a brand new stumbler. Not only is it more powerful, but it has a greater chance more people will see it. That is the main benefit of building your stumbleupon network.
Three ways you can increase your network
When I wrote about the importance of building your stumbleupon network I mentioned that I had 59 fans. 2 days later, I currently have 118 fans. How did I do it?
First you should mention your stumbleupon page when writing about stumbleupon like I do. By doing this people go and add you as a friend, trying to build their own network. Somewhat similar to the technorati favorites exchange we saw some time ago.
Ask for friends! Yesterday I was asking for comments and a friend request, in turn I stumbled their blog or website.
The most successful thing I did however was turn to the digital point forums. Under the freebies section I posted 20 free stumbles. In return all I asked was that they add me as their friend, and I would stumble one URL. After doing this twice I gained about 40 new friends.
Nowadays internet phone system has brought about a revolution. The technology uses a voip phone that can be regarded as ip phones by some to spread about the benefits of internet telephone service to the users. Skype, the most popular voip service provider has already gained a secure position among business users by making possible very low cost long distance calls via internet by just a skype download on the mobile phones.
What have you done to increase your stumbleupon network?
Stay Organized With WebAsyst
Written by Mark MeAndMyDrum | Fave MAMD | Subscribe to MAMD
Online organizers have been on the rise for quite some time. Some are just mirror images of each other, but you may find WebAsyst a bit different.
What is so different about WebAsyst?
For starters, the interface is uncluttered and intuitive. Access to its tools are located at the bottom of the window: files, photos, contacts, mail, projects, issues, notes, and pages.
Efficient use of space is apparent because you have the option of going normal or full-screen mode. Users can be created and given different levels of access to the content stored in your account. So if you’re looking for a tool for your team, this one could be the solution you’re looking for.
File storage
Files can easily be uploaded, and you get a generous 17 MB to do so. Instead of sending files to people you can send them a link to it. So no more having to update something and sending it out to others. Just have them return to the file you have in your account.

Photo album
I especially like the ability you have to drag-and-drop photos from your computer’s desktop and into your browser window. Once you’re done, click the finish button and the upload commences. Beats having to do them one at a time. And when you click on a thumbnail, you’re given an “actions panel” where you can add things like description, or rotate the image, change the title, email it to someone, or copy/move it to another photo album.

Stay in touch with Friends
The screenshot below shows a couple of folders allowing you to categorize your contacts anyway you want them. In addition to all the pertinent details, you can add an image to their profile if you like.

Email
I don’t recall seeing many (if any) online services like this one that include an email system built right into the thing. Create folders for easy storage. You can also create templates, which is a pretty nifty time-saver.
Project tracking
To be honest, it’s not like Microsoft Project, but that’s okay. Create an unlimited number of projects. And something I haven’t seen very often is the ability to view projects with a Gantt chart. Create customers and reports, assign tasks, track costs and choose whether a task is billable or not.

Track issues
Sort of like a to-do list, you can easily sort your tasks along with several other features. For instance, you can filter the view by author, group, status, timing, and issues assigned to you. And don’t forget the reporting capabilities on all of that.

Keep notes
You’d expect something like WebAsyst to include a notes feature — a universal need. But where this tool is unique is its ability to print these notes in a variety of templates. Either use the pre-built ones or create your own with a robust HTML toolbar editor.
Create online books
Yes, books. In fact, this is one of my favorite features as I can see a lot of potential coming out of this one tool alone. When you create a document you can publish it which will include access to your pages in the left navigation. You can even choose from several color theme options to give it a little kick. Just think of how you can offer this to clients for referencing status reports. No more missed emails or hefty files to send.
