Enfomercials: Where your commercial gets free air time
Enfomercials.Com “Where your commercial gets air time.”
Websites are starting to use video advertising to promote their products and websites online. At least it’s new to me. I’ve been asked to make commercials for compensation about websites. A video ad can be more engaging and effecient, compared to a few lines of text.
How about making a commercial for your own website?
Basically integrating YouTube with a regular commercial, Enfomercials is born.
At Enformercials.Com you can upload your video or “commercial” and give a description about your website. From there people can view, comment and rate your commercial. I’ve made a commercial for Blog about your Blog, you may notice us in the featured videos section!

Yep, and it’s free
Enformercials offers all this for free! Free to share, upload and promote your commercials on their website. As the network grows you can add a friends and favorites list. You don’t have to keep it to just one commercial, you can make several, about anything you want.
Put your commercial online today! I can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with.
Comment Friday Winner: Invest Journal
I am proud to announce our first comment friday that officially received 30 comments! This week we finished well over 30 comments, we had 20 by 3pm est!
I’d like to recognize John Murphy at Online Investing to Earn Money as our Comment Friday Blog of the Week.
He had a great comment that Lee and myself were actually discussing the day before. John’s comment was
“The new look works well, good colour contrasts.
I know soliciting comments on a blog is a good way to show that people are visiting but it frustrates me greatly when comments are left on a post that have little to do with the content of the post and more to do with self-promotion. I’d be happier if people disagreed with what I’d written, at least it would stimulate debate.”
It calls out Comment Friday a little bit, like we are whoring for comments, but I still stand by the idea. I definitely think comment friday has helped with our comments, regardless what day it is. More people are involved in our blog, and I think that’s what it’s all about. Not only that, but when it is Friday, we do get that discussion blogs crave and need.
I’d also like to thank another Matthew, for posting about BAYB and Comment Friday. Check out Matthew from EJabs. He mentioned us on two posts and sent us a few hits and commentors for Comment Friday. Thanks Matthew, and welcome to our BlogRoll.
Comment Friday for April 20th
Hooray for Friday! Make sure to comment on our new look!
Comment friday is a fun and simple idea. Leave us a comment about anything you want. By leaving a comment, you will have your blog visited by me, and you may even get a link out of it. I will select a blog from the comment list to be linked to and have their link on our blogroll, until next friday.
We have many of the same commentors participating weekly, we are getting some great and fun discussions. Not only am I visiting blogs, but other people are checking you out as well.
Last week we did get 30 comments, but some were on Saturday. My goal has been to achieve 30 comments for sometime now, and I know we can do it this week.
Long time Comment Friday participant Polli won last week, and we are looking for a new winner this week! She really got noticed last week when she sent us a handful of visitors by posting about Comment Friday on her blog.
Changes afoot
As you can plainly see there have been some changes to the layout here at BAYB. The reason being that Matt and myself have been chatting about how we want your articles to be the focus and that the other one was starting to get pretty cluttered. It always had a bit of a formatting issue anyway.
So leave a comment and let us know if you like the new look? I’ll be working on it over the next couple of hours and you may see some things move around.
Also to the authors – I may go in and fix some formatting issues on your posts so if it changes and you don’t like it just let me know!
The only other big issue that this template has is that on single pages the background doesn’t extend to the bottom of the page. I will be working on this too but if anyone can shed some light I’d be pretty pleased with a shortcut to fixing it!

Misspelt kewords
I nearly fell off my chair to see that I have written one of the more popular posts on Blog About Your Blog. A feather in the cap for satire? No, one lucky lucid moment about optimising the darker corners of your blog or website. I think, ironically, that one of those links (About the site), has recently become obsolete in another tidy up when I combined two pages into one About Us page! See, I practice what I preach.
Misspelt keywords
Right now, I just have a quick tip that may net you some extra and unexpected Google search traffic. I stumbled across a misspelling that has rocketed me to the top of a certain Google listing.
Misspellings might work!
Basically, I was being a smart ass trying to explain how to pronounce the name of an obscure town in England, and couldn’t leave it there and misspelt the country name too (or rather, I wrote the name phonetically). Somehow Google picked out a reference on the page to MP3 players, and now The Pisstakers is number 2 result for anyone looking for “MP3 Ingland“.
Maybe that keyphrase isn’t worth anything per se, but when I did an experiment and searched “keword“, the misspelling threw up an SEO site that is worth its weight in gold! Keyword research and lateral thinking explains some tactics to come up with keywords for a campaign to help you rank in specific areas of interest. It made a lot of sense and again lifted another veil of mystery off the mighty SEO puzzle.
That’s it, another megapopular post, I’m sure 🙂
btw The MyBlogLog Sunday feature has been generating some buzz, and even given the thumbs up by the MBL team, so I have been inspired to streamline the whole dealio – I invested in a months’ supply of gummi bears and let loose with longer reviews!
cheers, and maybe see you Sunday.

Blog About Your Blog’s Most Popular Articles
I have been wanting to get together a page of our most popular posts for a while now. I put together a quick list of our most popular according to firestats. This lists excludes Author Interviews, Comment Friday, and our Contests and Competitions.
Most of our articles seem to be submitted by Lee. After submitting his articles he usually gets a thumbs up on stumbleupon. Make sure to stumble, digg, or reddit your articles to give them a few additional visitors than they would ordinarily get just by posting on Blog about your Blog.

A Links Blog In It’s Own Category
Have you gotten your blog listed at ALinksBlog?
A Links Blog has developed into a blog of it’s own world. A mix between a blog and a directory, they feature and link to tons of blogs, for free.
Finally reaching 100 blogs listed, they are now offering new ways to become featured as well as earn money.
Last week I participated in a contest there and won, the next day I had 10 dollars in my paypal, it was that easy.
Each contest seems to be different, this week, you can win just by having your blog listed on their website. They will draw a number between 1-101 and if your blog is that number, you win 5 dollars! I’m pulling for #4, Blog about your Blog is the 4th blog listed.
Aside from winning the contest, we had Blog about your Blog featured for over a week. This week BlogBait is featured, next week it could be you.
Get your blog listed now, don’t let me win the next contest too
What I’ve Been Up to
I’ve been real busy recently working on a number of different projects and havn’t had the time to write a post here in a while. So I thought I would give you an update on what i’ve been doing around the net.
Over at the TapCast Blog, I went into detail as to why i’m a member of PayPerPost and how many of the negative opinions towards PPP are unjustified.
I lost my cool at this blog writing two posts on “Damn Web Hosts“! This was after having endless problems with a new website I acquired.
Most of my time has been spent on the acquisition of EzWealth4All.net (don’t visit it yet as its having a few teething problems) which is a Get Paid to Site, which should become something like MyLot. If it doesn’t ……well it was a expensive mistake.
The Tap Tech Blog was also nominated for the best Geek blog at the Blogger’s Choice Awards. Make sure you vote for it here
And finally, because im so busy, if anybody wants to do I guest post on TapCast they are more than welcome to. Just give me a bell.
